Fourth grade has been learning about Ecosystems in science. Students were able to visit rainforest, ocean, grassland, desert, and others. Students were also able to see some animal and plant adaptations in the Borneo Rainforest to learn about vocabulary. The Dead Leaf Mantis is brown and uses that to blend into the forest floor, while students also saw a green praying mantis which blends in with the living palm leaves.
Fifth grade visited some National Parks to compare the landforms between different regions of the U.S. Students were able to visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Yosemite and Yellowstone parks.
